Today, we celebrate the memorial of a saint who has become so well known in the world of today that sometimes, even when you go to Assisi, he almost overshadows Saint Francis himself. And it's not Carlo Acutis, but it's Padre Pio, Saint Padre Pio. Now, few saints illustrate today's readings as visibly as this one. Saint Paul says, “I have been crucified with Christ,” while Jesus says, “Deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”
