As we gather today to enter into the holy season of Lent, marked by the ashes on our foreheads, we are reminded of our mortality and our call to repentance. The ashes symbolize not only our human frailty but also the hope of renewal and transformation through Christ. Today, we begin a journey—a journey of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving—a pathway that leads us closer to God and to one another.
Quando ci riuniamo oggi per entrare nella santa stagione della Quaresima, segnata dalle ceneri sulla fronte, ci viene ricordata la nostra mortalità e la nostra chiamata al pentimento. Le ceneri simboleggiano non solo la nostra fragilità umana, ma anche la speranza di rinnovamento e trasformazione attraverso Cristo. Oggi iniziamo un cammino - un cammino di preghiera, digiuno ed elemosina - che ci porta più vicini a Dio e gli uni agli altri.
